Westminster Children's Society is so much more than a successfulvoluntary chain, in its ethos and its impact on the communities itserves. Founded in 1905, WCS has grown into a pioneering charity, builton trust and common goals. The WCS family will see three new additionsby the end of the year, making a total of 18 settings and 761 places,and this year the chain expanded into the London boroughs of Camden, andBarking and Dagenham. This development has been led by the highlycapable June O'Sullivan.
Staff are encouraged to grow both professionally and personally, and thehigh levels of retention speak volumes. Development is inspired by theteachings of Vygotsky, about always taking learning to the next level.Core values of making 'a valued contribution to society' and becoming a'proud and integral part of the communities we serve' were drawn up withstaff.
