Nursery World readers

Nursery World readers have less than a week to have their say about the feasibility of having a Sector Skills Council (SSC) represent the early years. The SSC feasibility survey, managed on behalf of the early years sector by Dr Elaine Sauve for the National Day Nurseries Association, points out that as there is no longer an Early Years National Training Organisation, there is now a gap in the provision of services relating to workforce development. Dr Sauve said, 'The aim of the feasibility study is to prepare a report for the early years sector, summarising the options and opportunities available to them, to enable them to make an informed choice about the future of the employers' representative organisation.' The survey questionnaire can be found on the Nursery World website at www.nursery-world.co.uk and the closing date for responses is 29 May.
