Ofsted has chosen Bristol as new operational headquarters for the work of its department in the south of England. Two regional managers will oversee a team of 190 employees. The move is part of the three-year 'Improving Ofsted' restructuring programme which began in July 2004. The new structure will be organised around three regional headquarters: Southern; Midlands and Northern; and London.
