Training, training, training and more of it is the message that comes across when you talk to early years inspectors and consultants about the Foundation Stage and its impending implementation in September.

They don't want to be seen to be negative; they think the Foundation Stage curriculum is excellent. But privately some of them fear that because standards in the industry are so variable there will be early years practitioners who will have difficulty implementing it.
