Children at Airyhall Nursery in Aberdeen became curators when they planned and opened their own museum in the school hall for a day.
We held the event as part of ongoing Enterprise Education in the school.
The aim of Enterprise Education is to develop life skills such as decision-making, teamworking, communicating and negotiating. We need to start young in encouraging creativity and adaptability to help the children appreciate what they can achieve with a 'can do' attitude.
All the children were enthusiastic in helping to plan the museum and we had many lively discussions as the idea came into fruition.
