The resource includes guidance for practitioners, a six-phase teachingprogramme booklet, poster and DVD, which includes clips filmed inschools showing effective practice in each phase.

The DfES said the new document builds on and aligns with the Early YearsFoundation Stage and the new Primary Framework.
