The children's charity is calling on the Government to increase financial support to families during school holidays to compensate for the lack of free school meals, which it says is the key factor contributing to food poverty at this time.

The children's charity is calling on the Government to increase financial support to families during school holidays to compensate for the lack of free school meals, which it says is the key factor contributing to food poverty at this time.

The charity also wants the Government to introduce a minimum income standard for parents and a child development grant to help them meet the costs of taking part in holiday activities with their children.
