Portable building inspired by Reggio

The community ethos of Reggio Emilia has inspired a new children's centre building. Portakabin, manufacturer of relocatable and modular buildings, has designed its Lilliput children's centre to take less than half the time of a traditional building to construct and to adapt to the needs of individual children's centres.

Portakabin, manufacturer of relocatable and modular buildings, has designed its Lilliput children's centre to take less than half the time of a traditional building to construct and to adapt to the needs of individual children's centres.

Rob Hall, Portakabin business development manager for education, said, 'The new centres meet all permanent building regulations, Ofsted guide- lines and national daycare standards.
