Children's radio service AbracaDABra starts up on the UK's biggest internet radio network, Play Radio UK, on 11 July, catering for young children and their families. It will also host Sound Start, a scheme set up by a group of childcare experts to complement the Government's Speech, Language and Communication Needs action plan (News, 17 July and 17 December 2008). As part of the scheme, Pure Evoke Flow internet radios will be distributed to homes and children's centres where the effects of regular listening will be monitored over a six-month period.
