The BBC is currently recruiting families for an observational documentary series about working mums and dads. Balancing a demanding job with the desire to spend more time with one's children is an issue affecting many people.

The BBC would like to explore what happens when a career-minded parent takes two to three weeks off work and becomes a 'stay at home' parent. Does the expectation of being at home with the children match up to the reality, or will the experience produce some surprises?

At the end of the trial, will dad consider reshuffling his work life to spend more time raising and being with his children? Will mum, who thought she'd love the chance to be at home with the children, be desperate to get back to work?
