Red Nose Day

Early years settings are busy fundraising for Red Nose Day on 4 March with the help of kits sent to nurseries across Britain to help them organise fundraising events. They feature the faces of the Tweenies and are packed with fresh ideas on how to raise money for the day. The National Day Nurseries Association has advised nurseries to take full advantage of the kits as they encourage a fun and creative way of learning while raising money for Comic Relief. NDNA chief executive Rosemary Murphy said it was 'working with Comic Relief to encourage nurseries across the UK to support Red Nose Day'. Comic Relief aims to tackle poverty and social injustice in the UK and Africa, creating projects to help the poorest and most disadvantaged people. If you haven't received a kit yet, you can order one by e-mailing nurseries@comicrelief.org.uk or get more information from the website www.rednoseday.com.
