This week: Snuggle up - soft things to feel during sensory play
Aspect: A competent learner; Components: being imaginative, being creative Walkers, talkers and pretenders
What you need: A collection of soft snuggly things - such as soft toys, fleece, blanket pieces, fake fur, baby shawls, velvet; a quiet, comfortable place to sit - a comfy chair, bean bag
Invite one or two children to sit with you in a comfortable place. They could choose where.
1 Put the soft things nearby or in a basket.
2 Talk gently as you explore the different snuggly things.
3 Use words such as soft, smooth, sleep, gentle, stroke, pat, furry, hug, warm, comfy.
