Roll up for Nursery World North 2019

Don't miss out - register now for the Nursery World North 2019 show in Manchester on 10-11 May.

Nursery World North moves to Manchester for two days of CPD-certified seminars, half-day masterclasses, and a wide-ranging exhibition featuring early years suppliers, organisations and charities.

The show’s seminar and masterclass programme will offer attendees the chance to hear from renowned early years experts including Alice Sharp, Barbara Isaacs, Julie Mountain, Penny Tassoni, Nicola Burke and many more.

On Friday 10 May, delegates can attend a half-day masterclass on SEND in the early years led by Julie Revels, an early years consultant specialising in SEND and inclusive practice, Anne O’Connor, an early years consultant and author specialising in attachment and resilience, and Dr Kath Dickinson, owner of SEND to Learn.

The masterclass will help attendees understand the essentials of inclusive practice, navigate the route from ‘first observation’ to ‘personalised plan’, make the most of available funding, support systems and training, and develop their understanding of the sensory processing problems experienced by many children with SEND.

On Saturday 11 May, a masterclass on challenge and progression in children’s learning, led by Kym Scott and Kathryn Solly, will provide delegates with an understanding of how to challenge children in areas such as Maths and Literacy and of the possibilities for risk and challenge in outdoor play.

Hayley Peacock, managing director and owner of Little Barn Owls Nursery group in West Sussex, which won Nursery World’s Nursery of the Year Award in 2015, will also be on hand to provide a case study of the work done at the setting to create artistic and digital adventures for children which challenge their learning across all areas of the EYFS.

Meanwhile, a range of seminars will cover a number of other topics including small world play, the new Ofsted inspection framework, block play, school readiness, communication and language, and learning in the community.
