Although not affecting the overall content of the article, a couple of points need to be corrected. The SSSC will begin registration of early education and childcare workers in 2006/07. The total social service workforce is estimated at 120,000, with early education and childcare workers accounting for around 25,000 of that total.
I would encourage Nursery World readers to respond to the consultation, because their views really do count.
