Spotlight on ... Becky Kingsley and Gemma House

Management
Name: Becky Kingsley and Gemma HousePosition: Nursery practitioners at Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon

You both did a tandem sky dive to raise money for Childbase's charity of the year, When You Wish upon a Star. What does the charity mean to you?

GH - This charity is important to all of us because we are surrounded by healthy and happy children every single day. I don't know how I would feel if any of them were very sick.

BK - When You Wish upon a Star made a huge difference to my cousin who was fighting bone cancer when they granted his wish to meet his favourite football team, Queens Park Rangers.

How did the sky dive go?

GH - The tandem sky dive saw us freefall from 10,000 feet for about 30 seconds. Although we were falling fast it felt slow and peaceful and incredibly quiet. It was only on the ground watching others jump that fears resurfaced.

How much have you raised for the charity?

In sponsorship pledges alone we have exceeded targets for both the dive and the nursery's fundraising drive to fund a holiday for 45 families with terminally ill children.
