- What are you celebrating?
I've got down to the final three in the North West Learners Award 2008,Lancashire division, in the Apprentice of the Year category. I'm on a15-month apprenticeship, working for Rosy Apples childcare (who manageLittle Achievers) while I study for my NVQ level 2.
- How did you feel when you got through to the finals?
I was very surprised. The prize for getting to the finals was 100. I've really enjoyed my apprenticeship. It's given me new skills Ican use in the nursery and it's also made me more confident with staff,the children and their parents. My manager put me forward for the awardbecause she says I am a hard-working member of the team and I'd madestrong bonds with parents and staff.
