- How did you come up with the idea 21 years ago?
I was a secretary for my son's playgroup and we were trying to think of new ways to raise money. At the same time my son had been drawing a picture and I just put two and two together. I started off with a laminator and going around local playgroups to see if they were interested in designing personalised play mats.
- Did you ever think the company would grow like it has?
No, never. It grew quite fast, particularly once I started the website eight years ago, which enabled me to move running the business from home to a unit and employing my husband and two sons.
