Why did you decide to open a new nursery?

During my four years as a nursery manager I decided I wanted to do things my way using my own knowledge and experience. Buying my own premises was the original plan but nurseries are so costly and nursery salaries are not fantastic, as we all know. In the end I was told I would need to lease premises. It took five years to find the right place. Maybe I’m too fussy! But in the end the church hall I found was absolutely perfect, opposite a park and with land for a garden. The children can get muddy exploring the outdoors, bug-hunting and making mud pies. The messier and more exciting for children, the better.
