Children at Tops Day Nursery in Newport, Isle of Wight, found they were all in the same boat learning about their island culture.
They made a map of the island and identified where each of them live, and explored the subject of ferries, hovercrafts and how cars can travel on the water. A welcome addition to their playground was a rowing boat, which the nursery manager managed to rescue from a neighbour who was going to demolish it.
