Evidence collector: If you are a student, you may wish to carry out the following observation. Remember to gain permission from your supervisor and/or the parents.
Observation: Bring in a teddy and a sliced lemon as well as some other fruit that children will like, such as a chopped apple or banana.
Begin by telling the children that teddy loves lemon. Ask the children if they like lemon - they can taste a little bit if they wish. Show the children the other fruit that teddy has brought with him, but stress that he loves lemons. Later, tell children that teddy is hungry and watch what they choose for him. Do they remember what he likes, or do they think about their own likes?
