As a manager of a nursery that has gone through a very difficult time, unsupported by senior management, I resigned due to health issues. I believe my resignation was used by the managing director to cover the cause of an inadequate Ofsted inspection, despite my having given my notice before the Ofsted result. After the report I was asked by the area manager if I would like to take annual leave. I declined because I wanted to work my notice to show I had nothing to be ashamed of.
Parents rang to ask me to stay at the nursery, but I do not want to work for a company who treat staff like this. Both parents and staff were disgusted with the way that I was treated by the nursery group.
