Survey seeks sector's views on children's literacy and language

Early years practitioners are invited to take part in the National Literacy Trusts survey on supporting childrens language.

The charity is asking practitioners working with children aged three to five to complete a survey exploring how they support children’s emergent language skills and their own literacy practices within their setting and at home. Also, the role that technology could play within settings to support children’s language and literacy development

Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a draw to win one of three sets of £100 Amazon vouchers.

Findings from the survey will form part of a wider National Literacy Trust research project investigating parental and practitioner attitudes to literacy.

The charity plans to run the research project every year in order to track changes over time and build a continuous picture of early years literacy in the UK.
