In this, the second part of a project on holes, I want to look at some learning opportunities that might be explored by using a selection of books that have holes in them.
The stories highlighted here either have holes as the subject matter of the story, or have holes that form an integral part of the book's structure.
Some of the books combine both, but whichever you choose, they are sure to enhance the theme.
Sharing stories with children not only creates an excellent context for discussion, but also frequently demonstrates novel and unusual ways of looking at the world.
