The provision of better childcare facilities will help attract and retain NHS staff, Welsh health minister Jane Hutt said last week when she opened the Teddy Bear Trust Nursery in Llandough Hospital, Cardiff. The nursery can cater for up to 30 children, ranging from three months to five years. The Welsh Assembly has provided 19,000 from the Work-Life Balance project as a subsidy for the first year and a one-off payment towards improvements to the nursery's garden.
