Children's awareness of health issues is the target of a new expert unit set up by the Scottish Executive. The Health Promoting Schools Unit will be led by Margaret McGhie, a former teacher with extensive experience of health education, and will be based in the Dundee offices of Learning and Teaching Scotland. It is the latest in a series of initiatives to improve Scottish children's health.
