The latest ten local education authorities in England to be inspected

The latest ten local education authorities in England to be inspected jointly with the Audit Commission this autumn were announced last week by Ofsted. They are the London boroughs of Barnet, Greenwich, Hackney and Haringey, plus the Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Wight, Liverpool, Salford, Solihull and Torbay. The areas of scrutiny are the LEA's strategy for school improvement, special educational needs, promoting social inclusion, and corporate issues.The reports will be published in spring 2004. A flexible working policy for Health minister Malcolm Chi5 per cent since 1996/7.
