KinderCare's parent company has 1,250 nurseries in 39 states. The acquisition has increased the number of sites Kidsunlimited owns and manages to 41. The group, which was set up in 1983, was ranked seventh in size in the UK in the winter 2003 edition of the Nursery World publication Nursery Chains.

Kidsunlimited plans to open eight more day nurseries over the next 12 months in London, Manchester, Cambridge and Oxford. The group's clients include banks and NHS Trusts, the Body Shop, Oxford University and Amnesty International.
