Trained to temp

I came out of education last year after nine years of temporary contracts and went to work in the NHS. Now my pay is 1,500 a year less - but I have a permanent contract. This seems a big price to pay for a contract, doesn't it? When will the Government get it right for us nursery nurses, most of whom have trained, retrained and further trained to advance our skills, but to no avail?
