Where to recruit

I work in a nursery class attached to a school and have realised over the past few years that NNEBs are beginning to be phased out and replaced by classroom assistants. There are new courses coming out leading to classroom assistants being able to qualify at NVQ level 2 or 3, some of the modules being in nursery work. So eventually nursery nurses will not be a 'speciality' in their own right. Many nursery nurses probably stay in school jobs because of the school holidays, which are much needed when you have your own children. But surely here is a great chance for private nurseries to gain some experienced and 'mature' staff. If they could offer more flexible working conditions and term-time hours, job share opportunities and so on, I am sure a lot of nursery nurses would be applying for these posts.
