The story follows a young girl and a toy dragon that brings her luck and shows her the strength of a supportive community. It is aimed at six-to-10-year-olds.

Behind the book is Wrexham Football Club, its technology partner Hewett Packett and non-profit NABU – a publisher of multilingual children’s books.

Inspired by the Wrexham community, the book features real locations and ‘easter eggs’. It aims to instil pride in Welsh children and inspire a love of reading, particularly bilingual reading.

NABU co-founder Isabel Sheinman said, ‘Collaborating with Wrexham AFC has enabled us to write our first Welsh-English book, which we hope will instil pride in Welsh children and inspire a love of reading for young football fans globally.’

The book will be available for free on the NABU reading app and web reader. Printed copies will be distributed to schools and libraries local to Wrexham.
