A fifth of primary and secondary school children think either Star Wars character Luke Skywalker or Richard Branson were the first men on the moon, according to a poll reported by BBC News. One in ten of 1,000 children polled also believed that the Queen invented the telephone.
An Australian two-year-old was so determined to get at sweets in a lolly machine that he climbed through a tiny dispensing hatch and ended up trapped within four walls of glass, said the Daily Telegraph. A locksmith freed him 45 minutes later.
