Angelica Sprocket's Pockets

by Quentin Blake, Red Fox, paperback, 5.99

Angelica Sprocket lives next door to a young boy and girl and leaves them entranced by the delights that she produces from the miriad pockets on her long, pink overcoat. There’s the practical (handkerchiefs, umbrellas, frying pans and the kitchen sink), but mostly there’s the nice (icecreams), the strange (boats, ducks and motorhorns) and the downright bizarre (a palm tree and pink and green elephant). What better spark to fire children’s imagination?
