When a dog steals the football and spoils all the fun, Scooter Bee sets off through the park to retrieve it. This book is deceptively simple and, in fact, offers lots of scope for revisiting it again and again.
The rhyming text is engaging and the many questions within it open up opportunities for involving very young children in Scooter Bee's adventure. There are also lots of details within the illustrations to explore; the challenge, in each spread, of finding the missing ball; and a set of wheels to push the book along as you read or when the story ends.
