The acquisition of the three nurseries, based in Hoddesdon and Ware in Hertfordshire, brings the total number of settings owned by All About Children to 29, providing approximately 2,500 places.
Angels at Play was established in 1993 by Angela Spencer.
Ms Spencer told Nursery World she will be continuing her Babyopathy programme and is working with other former nursery owners to launch online training through her training platform.
Russell Ford, co-director of All About Children, said, ‘We’re delighted by the opportunity to add the three Angels at Play nurseries to our group. I know a number of owners that have admired them for many years and we’re really pleased that Angela chose to sell them to us.

Angela Spencer said, ‘I think I'll be busier instead of retiring. I will be continuing my Babyopathy programme, initially continuing my work with pregnant mums aiming to reduce stress during pregnancy - it affects the childcare workforce as well as the children in our care.’
She added, ‘I am still consulting in the sector, helping those who wish to sell to prepare and negotiate. I will never lose my passion for campaigning for the sector and my pregnant mums.’
