Ask Cathy: the Nutbrown Review

Professor Cathy Nutbrown is offering Nursery World readers and website users an exclusive opportunity to send her your questions about her final report into early education and childcare qualifications, just released.
  • Do you agree that Level 3 should be the minimum qualification for the early years workforce?
  • Should students have to have Level 2 literacy and mathematics to start a childcare course?
  • Should an early years specialist teaching qualification be the route for graduate leaders in early years settings?
  • Should childcare courses focus strongly on the birth to seven age group?

Your questions on these and other subjects raised by the Nutbrown Review will feed into the Government's response to the report, which was launched on 19 June at the Early Years 2012 conference in London.

You can read our story about the Nutbrown Review final report and link to the document here. And you'll find Professor Nutbrown's speech to the Early Years 2012 conference here.

Send your questions to NWfeedback@haymarket.com by 26 June. Professor Nutbrown will answer as many of your questions as possible for our web feature to run in July.
