Basic food hygiene training offered at bargain price

NDNA is now offering an accredited basic food hygiene course for just 8. The course is done entirely online and learners will gain a Level 2 award in Food Safety upon successful completion.

Provided in partnership with the Safer Food Group , the course is split into chapters, covering personal hygiene, food poisoning and cleaning and disinfection. Each section features a video and test to check progress.  The syllabus is approved by UK environmental health officers, fully accredited by Qualifi and nationally recognised by OFQUAL, the official regulator.

Stella Ziolkowski, director of Quality and Workforce Development, said: ‘Food hygiene is an essential part of the role for any members of nursery staff who are preparing or handling food. However with reduction in funding for nurseries, we wanted to ensure the standards continue to be kept as high as possible. By offering this course at a reduced rate we can help nurseries to get fully accredited, quality training, resulting in better quality care for children."
