Ms Edmond, who oversaw the running of the nursery group’s 200 plus settings in the UK and Ireland, left the company in April to pursue other opportunities.
Taking over her role as managing director is the chief development officer of Bright Horizons Stephen Kramer.
Mr Kramer (right), who is based in the United States, has worked for Bright Horizons for more than eight years, leading the group’s worldwide growth and client partnerships. During 2007-2010, he worked from Bright Horizons’ UK office.
Carole Edmond started her career in the early years sector in 1998 when she worked for Bupa, researching the childcare market. She oversaw a number of nursery acquisitions at Bupa, including the Teddies nursery chain of 18 settings.
