Childcare staff score lower on awareness of Every Child Matters than local government workers, at 69 per cent and 90 per cent respectively, according to a survey published by the DfES last week. Children's Workforce Research found that childcare workers had the least awareness of Every Child Matters among professionals working across 26 job types in health, schools, youth justice, residential care and childcare.
