Leading early years figures judge Nursery World Awards

Nursery World has drawn together a distinguished panel of experts and professionals from across the early years sector to judge the plethora of entries to this year's Nursery World Awards.

The 22 leading figures tasked with the difficult task of selecting the winners are:

  • Penny Tassoni, early years consultant and author
  • Laura Henry, managing director of The Childcare Consultancy
  • Annie Seeley, public health nutritionist
  • Ann Ross, Your Child Matters Childminding Service
  • Linda Godley, nursery manager, Bewbush Children’s Centre
  • Mary Dickins, writer, consultant and senior lecturer at London Metropolitan University
  • Thom Crabbe, Children’s Workforce Development Council national manager for early years
  • Jane Harrison, director, Red Hen Children’s Day Nursery, Louth, Lincolnshire
  • Jenny Spratt, head of early years and childcare services, Peterborough Local Authority
  • Dr Jools Page, lecturer and director, MA in early childhood education, University of Sheffield  
  • Marion Dowling, early years consultant  
  • Linda Keats, graduate training advisor, Early Years and Childcare, Essex
  • Kathy Brodie, EYP and trainer
  • Sarah Steel, managing director, Old Station Nursery Group  
  • Karen Walker, head of children’s services, London Early Years Foundation
  • Purnima Tanuku, chief executive, National Day Nurseries Association
  • Neil Leitch, chief executive, Pre-school Learning Alliance
  • Susanna Dawson, chair, National Childminding Association  
  • Anne Longfield, chief executive, 4Children
