The group of three nurseries, all rated outstanding, was formed in 2005 by Sharon Peach and Scott Roberts. They are located in Harpole, Little Houghton and Wellingborough in Northamptonshire.

The Old Station Nursery Group now has 32 nurseries, with a total of 2,119 places plus a 32 place after school club across 13 counties in the midlands and south of England. The chain was established in 2002 by managing director Sarah Steel who continues to lead it after the nurseries being acquired by international operator La Maison Bleue in 2019.

La Maison Bleue is the leading childcare provider in Switzerland and the third largest provider in both France and Luxembourg.

Commenting on Bambino Day Nurseries joining the group, Ms Steel said, ‘We are very excited to welcome all children, parents and staff members into our very special community.

‘We are excited to work with the teams at Bambinos to learn from them, review best practice and share our group ethos; we aim to inspire, nurture and innovate in order to create brighter futures, together.’

In the upcoming Nursery Chains supplement, published by Nursery World, it is stated that The Old Station Nursery group plans several more acquisitions and some organic growth during 2021.
