Rock-a-bye baby

If floor space is tight you might want to consider the new Leander cradle from Cheeky Rascals. Designed in Denmark with the help of childcare professionals, it's reputed to be particularly useful for premature babies who are just starting to develop their sense of balance. Made from 100 per cent organic cotton and 80cm in length, you can either suspend it from a single point in the ceiling or hook it on to a wigwam-style tripod. It comes with separate mattress, straps and ceiling hook and is suitable for babies from birth to the stage at which they can sit up unaided. The full price is Pounds 125. The wigwam-style tripod is also available for 80 for those who prefer it. This is made of hardwood with an aluminium-coated steel trim. The cradle curtain (shown below) is priced 25. An additional advantage is that the cradle, mattress, curtain and straps can all be washed at 60xC.
