New research will explore separated parents’ experiences of the child maintenance service.
The charity for single parents, Gingerbread, is carrying out research, funded by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, into separated parents’ experiences of child maintenance.
It is looking for views from parents who pay maintenance, receive maintenance, use the Child Maintenance Service, have a private arrangement in place or who have no arrangement in place.
The findings will be used to shape recommendations to the next government and drive forward a campaign for change.
It comes after several of the political parties have pledged to reform the child maintenance system as official data shows billions of pounds of unpaid maintenance debt.
