Position: Manager of Magic Tree Day Nursery in Harrogate, North Yorkshire
- What changes have you put in place since starting as manager six months ago?
I've introduced Jabadao and yoga to the nursery. I hope to do Forest School sessions in the school's 20 acres of land at the holiday club in the summer, with plans to eventually offer the sessions during term time.
- How long have you worked in childcare?
I started working in the sector when I was 16 and got my first position as manager when I was 22. I'm now 37 and have worked as a manager in four nurseries.
- What are your future plans?
I have just started working towards EYPS after completing my BA honours in Early Childhood Studies at Leeds University. My dream is to eventually work for Ofsted as an inspector. I love working in childcare and want to help other nurseries achieve good results to give children the best start in life.
