The london child Poverty Summit in October will aim to bring together all those who have signed the London Child Poverty Pledge (news, 24 July).
Mayor Boris Johnson will sign the pledge on behalf of the Greater LondonAuthority and delegates will discuss further action. The Pledge requiresorganisations to commit to a set of actions to improve the services theyprovide for disadvantaged families, and also to assess whether theiremployment practices are family-friendly.
