The Big Picture - Eastern promise

Nurseries in the Busy Bees group have welcomed visiting childcare professionals from their sister nurseries in Singapore and Malaysia.

Nurseries in the Busy Bees group have welcomed visiting childcare professionals from their sister nurseries in Singapore and Malaysia.

Seven qualified staff visited nurseries in Derby, Solihull, St Albans and Mardley Hill as part of the inaugural International Teachers Exchange programme.

The group stayed for a month to learn about the EYFS, policies and procedures, the importance of learning through play, and to share ideas and practice.

June Rushden, CEO of Busy Bees Asia, said, ‘When educators have the opportunity to experience and appreciate other cultures, they will inevitably pass this value on to the children they educate. I see this investment as bigger than Busy Bees – it is an investment in the early years industry and in the type of world we want our children to be living in.’
