Children at Daisy Chain Children’s Nursery in Wigston, Leicester showed their respect to the victims of the tragic events in Manchester by taking part in a minute’s silence.

Nursery manager Rachel Brewin said, ‘We had a very sensitive discussion about children in the world that are hurt and poorly. Following this the children discussed what we would normally do to show respect and try to help.’

Pre-school room leader Georgina Neal said, ‘I think the children’s responses to our acknowledgement of the bombing show just how mature and thoughtful they are, and display lots of knowledge, characteristics of effective learning and fundamental British values.’
