Star Photo - Aliens invade Derbyshire

Monday, May 28, 2018

Treetops Nursery Alton Manor in Belper created an out-of-this-world adventure to engage children in science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM).

The local fire brigade visited to warn the children that an alien spaceship had crash-landed in the playground. A visit from the police helped the children secure the crime scene and learn about scientific investigation, and they had fun creating spaceship blueprints, fingerprint analysis, alien slime and rocket fuel. On the last day the children dressed as astronauts, aliens and scientists, and launched their alien back into space using balloons.
