It is the first time N Family Club has featured in our analysis following its expansion in the last year to make it the 25th biggest group in the UK.

While only five of N Family Club’s 17 nurseries have been inspected so far, all these settings have gained outstanding grades – giving it a 100 per cent outstanding.

Congratulations to the group for achieving the top spot.

The Childbase Partnership is in second place in the table with 68 per cent of its inspected nurseries outstanding, and 32 per cent with good grades.

Children 1st is in third place and Kids Planet – last year’s number one in the table – is now in fourth place.

As always, Nursery World’s annual Nursery Chains supplement, which is free with the March issue, includes our table ranking the biggest 25 nursery groups in the UK by the number of registered nursery places they offer.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, the past 12 months have been one of significant growth and consolidation among many of the country’s largest groups.

While Busy Bees and Bright Horizons remain the largest and second largest groups respectively, Kids Planet is now the third biggest group after almost doubling in size since our March 2021 issue of Nursery Chains.

Find out how the make-up of the country's 25 biggest nursery groups has changed in the past 12 months and our analysis of their Ofsted grades in Nursery Chains 2022, available free with the latest issue of Nursery World and online.
