Overarching general requirement

Providers must plan and organise their systems to ensure every child receives an enjoyable and challenging learning and development experience that is tailored to meet their needs.

SPECIFIC LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

Operational issues

- Providers must make sure that children's individual needs are met throughout the day

- Providers need to make sure that every child is assigned a key person and that the practitioner demonstrates, understands and knows how important this is in their role as practitioner. It is to be noted that the childminder is the key person in a childminding setting - see Practice Guidance for the EYFS (page 15)
