A nursery physical activity..

A nursery physical activityregime done three times a week for 24 weeks had no effect on body mass index but did improve movement skills, research has found. The Movement and Activity Glasgow Intervention in Children (MAGIC) trial involved 545 children at 36 nurseries and included a home-based element in which families were given a resource pack to encourage physically active play and reduce sedentary behaviour such as watching television. The study at the University of Glasgow did not consider the role of diet.
